Account Limits

ChilloutVR allow users to join and have a complete experience for free, all ChilloutVR accounts are able to upload content, create categories, join groups, etc. However, there are a few caps that can be unlocked further by Supporting the game.

Content Uploads

For free accounts there are currently 2 limits in place:

  • 20 unpublished Avatars and Worlds
  • 20 unpublished Props

Keep in mind if you publish your content, so it can be used by everyone, it stops counting towards that limit. So making your content public will essentially give you free unlimited uploads.

If you happen to hit the limit, the CCK will prevent you from creating more content ids. Note you're still able to re-upload your already existing content.

Groups

Joining groups has no requirements at all. But Group creation is limited to players that own an unlocked account.

Note that receiving ownership of a group by having someone transfer one to you also requires you to have the unlocked account.

There is a limit of 3 owned groups that apply to everyone.

Discord Role

Some patreon tiers also include a discord role. Unlike the unlocked account, this role will be enabled/disabled while the patreon subscription is active/inactive automatically.

Note that you must have your discord account linked to your ChilloutVR account in ChilloutVR Account Settings

If you still don't have the rank, try to re-linking your patreon account, also done in ChilloutVR Account Settings this triggers an update to fetch the latest info from patreon.

Explicit/Mature Content

Explicit/Mature content is not gated by payment. It is a free DLC you can acquire on steam, that is only available if you're old enough to get it. You can find more information about it here.

How to get the Unlocked Account

Currently, the only way to obtain the unlocked account is by subscribing to our Patreon, once unlocked you will keep it forever.

You can do so by visiting the ChilloutVR Patreon.

Note that not every tier gives you the unlocked account, you need to look at the tiers that mention the perk Account-Unlock Upgrade.

Claiming Your Patreon Unlock

Subscribing does not apply the unlock automatically to your account. We have a system planned to automate this, but it would require move resources away from other areas.

  1. Link your Patreon account - Go to ChilloutVR Account Settings and link Patreon to your ChilloutVR account.
  2. Open a ticket - Email team@chilloutvr.net from the email address associated with your ChilloutVR account. You should mention that:
    • you're currently a Patreon subscriber to an eligible tier
    • you have linked your Patreon to your ChilloutVR account
    • you would like to claim the unlock account

We apologise from the inconvenience of this process.

Steam

The unlocked account purchase via Steam DLC has been deprecated, and can no longer be purchased.

If you have bought it while it was available, you still have it. Nothing has been taken away.

Q: Does deleting private content frees up a slot?

A: Yes.

Q: Can I still buy the unlock DLC on Steam?

A: No, the DLC page is deprecated.

Q: Is the mature content unlock the same thing?

A: No. They are two different unlocks and neither grants the other. The mature content unlock is free, you can find more info here.
